A Vision
This one time residential location at 3220 North State Street was revived by Dr. Varena Valley who envisioned The Artery to become “a space for creative exchange”. Dr. Valley’s vision led to a full renovation and addition to the N. State property and her passion for art, libations and for new ideas inspired the property.
Located in the heart of Fondren; The Artery features a spacious meeting center complete with gas lamp lit balcony as well as smaller break-out rooms for small groups. One or more of these spaces is perfect for your next function. The primary meeting space features 10 leaded glass french doors that open onto the gas lamp balcony. From classroom style meetings to wedding receptions, recitals, and social gatherings you’ll find that The Artery offers exceptional convenience in location, meeting space and parking.
Meeting Room Use
The primary meeting space within The Artery is available for $150 per hour with a 3 hour minimum. At the time of reservation a signed rental contract along with a 50% deposit is required.
Setup & Breakdown
A one and a half hour setup time is included in the rental. Any additional time that is needed can be added at a rate of $75 per hour in addition to the included setup time. An event breakdown period of one hour is included; additional time can be added to the contract at time of reservation.
Capacity and Facilities
The primary meeting space at The Artery has a capacity of 70 seated comfortably. Expand your gathering onto the Gas-Lamp lit balcony to accommodate 100. The Peacock Room features a dining table with formal seating for 6 and is located just off the primary meeting space.
Parking and Security
The Artery features 20 dedicated parking spaces on-site with overflow parking along Patton Avenue. Security services should be organized by the client and can be arranged with the Hinds County Sheriff’s department.
Community Respect
Parties are asked to wrap-up by 11p.m. on Friday and Saturday evenings and 10:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday. The Artery of Fondren is a non-smoking facility.
